I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

    • In the man of the house there was a little boy who struggles manfully with each of the tasks, often not doing a very good job .But we admire his heroic efforts and his evident love for his mother, mingled with his fear that she may die. After waiting ages at the dispensary for the cough medicine, Flurry is tempted by a little girl he meets to have a taste, and before many minutes pass, the bottle is empty, and he has to return home with nothing to give his mother.He blames himself for not keeping his word , but goes into the church and begs the Blessed Virgin for pardon and a miracle. When he reaches home , his mother is still in bed, and he feels that the Virgin has let him down, and that there hasbeen no miracles.Happily ,though, his mother is actually much better,and when he gets home, tired, crying, and a feverish,it is she who puts him to bed, comforting him and letting him know how proud she is of him.

      Narrative techniques: Narrator,Contrast and Diction.

      QUESTION
      Compare the boy’s mother with the girl’s father and say what conclusion you come to about what makes a good parent.
